Where home and wellbeing meet

Create a home that enables you to live well

Personal taste and preferences are very unique, but there are some universal design elements that have been shown to improve our how we feel, live and work. I am really interested in what research tells us about home and wellbeing. I follow the principles of biophilic and human centred design, which means that I can help you to create a space that makes life feel better for you and your family. In that sense, designing your home is also about designing your life.

Find an expert guide

Designing a home that really works for you and your family can be daunting. Perhaps you’re not sure how to make decisions about it, but it’s a process you want to be involved in. I believe that working on your home can be a great way to get to know yourself, improve your wellbeing and make life better. You are the expert on what’s right for you. But I can lead you through the process so that you’re really pleased with the end result, and have the satisfaction of knowing that you created this beautiful living space.

Design a home that fits you

Your home should fit you like a glove. But when you have lived somewhere for a while or you’re embarking on a new project it can be hard to know where to start. Sometimes it helps to get a fresh pair of eyes on your home; to understand its unique attributes, and to assess how well it’s supporting your life and wellbeing. I can bring an informed perspective to your decisions, by asking questions which enable you to get to the heart of what you need. In addition I can help you to: visualise a new design, through mood boards, sample boards and three dimensional plans; source furniture, furnishings and fittings sustainably; choose a colour scheme; and style the space so that it really looks and feels the way you want it to.

If this aligns with your goals for your space, then we should talk. I’d love to find out more about you and your home. Please send me your details and I’ll be in touch.

A bit about me

I’m Becky Hirt, an interior designer, room stylist and writer in Kingston Upon Thames, South West London. Through my focus on interior design and wellbeing I enable people to create homes that nurture and support them. Homes that feel good as well as look good. Sustainability is at the heart of how I work. I believe that interior design should take into account the impact of our homes on the natural world, as well as the impact of the natural world on us.

The process of designing your home is all about you and what you need, but here’s a bit more about me and my approach. You can see some examples of my interior design work, or read my blog about home and wellbeing.

I offer a range of services that can be tailored to your needs and budget. Whether you want help with one room or a larger area, I’d love to work with you to create a beautiful space that supports your wellbeing.
