On this page you can find a few examples of my interior design and room styling work.

The brief for this project was to create a sophisticated but cosy space that would shift the focus from the television to face to face family time. As the children living here were now growing up, priorities had changed, and it was no longer necessary to have a large space in the middle of the room in which they could play. Making substantial changes to both the layout and the colour scheme enabled us to create a warm, sociable, grown up space that reflected the family’s values and supported how they wanted to live.

My clients wanted a quiet natural retreat which would restore them after the stresses and strains of a working week. We took our inspiration from a forest photo and created a scheme with warm woods, tonal greens and greys, and copper highlights. Natural textures, simple shapes and structured plants were used to evoke a sense of calm and order.

We wanted our bedroom to feel calm, a haven from our busy lives, and not the bland space it had been since we moved in. Becky encouraged us to think differently about the colour scheme, asking us to share photos or images that created those feelings. The room is now the haven we wanted and one we’re very proud to call our own.

Sophie & Alex's Living Room

Like many people these days, Sophie and Alex have a beautiful open plan living space. But lovely as it was, they felt it wasn’t really working for them. They wanted it to feel more intimate and cosy, without spending lots of money. I worked with them to shape the space by creating several distinct zones, using their existing furniture and furnishings. You can read more about this project in my blog post.

Now my husband and I actually sit in our living area in the evenings and talk to each other face to face. I’m blown away by what a difference this has made without us needing to spend any money on new furniture.
